If you use iTerm, you may still want to use the same SF Mono font as in the terminal app.
But you will find that SF Mono isn’t available in iTerm by default.
And if you google “iterm use sf mono”, there are tons of blog posts written years ago and telling you how to dig the font out from your system and how to install it.
But It turns out that Apple has made SF Mono available for just everyone.
